Cleft lip Surgery.

 

This is beautiful baby Bradley Tricker at 4 months on the 31st Aug 2011. This was the day of his Cleft Lip repair operation. Chris and I were not allowed to feed him from 2am to the time of the surgery. Which after waiting since 7am, turned out to be 12pm. We were given a beeper that would go off when Bradley woke from surgery.

2 hours later we got the beep and went to the recovery room to see Bradleys lip for the first time. Personally i wasn't looking forward to it, as i loved his cleft lip, it was completely natural for me to see him with it. His mouth reminded me of a little puppie's mouth.

But he looked stunning! it was very emotional his voice was croaky as his mouth had been open a while. He had a stent in nose to keep it straight which would be removed a week later. Bradley found it very uncomfortable as his nose would bleed and he sounded very snuffled.  

Wow this is Bradley a week and a half later!! He had the stent removed an his lip began healing quickly! And he started getting back to himself, simling and giggling. It was an amazing transformation!!!!!!!
